Our Story
Greetings! Stand Tall Garden, LLC was founded in 2021 by a couple (Jake and Janelle) who share a love of gardening and cooking with the fruits of their labor, who are now on a mission to share their produce with you. Read on to learn more about Stand Tall Garden!
Where it all began
Jake and Janelle learned a love of gardening at an early age, both helping their mothers in the family garden. As they grew, so did their love of experimenting with new flavors and ingredients. They found the key to making even the simplest of dishes into a treat is high quality, fresh ingredients. To that end, they both began gardening on their own. Jake on his apartment balcony and Janelle in a local community garden. On his balcony, Jake learned the art of maximizing production with minimal physical space, setting him on the path to urban farming.
Who we are today
Now, they garden in their own yard, in the heart of historic Evansville. Using the principles learned on the balcony, Jake has established a high production urban garden with over 600 plants using less than a quarter acre of land. Stand Tall Garden focuses on building our community by offering community supported agriculture (CSA) shares.
